A personal website to share my interest in family memories, genealogy, local history and travel
Family memories are so important to me. I have been fortunate to have relatives who have taken the time to record some of their memories.
One of my main hobbies is genealogy. All my genealogy information I have gathered for the past forty years is included in my Ancestry.com site. There is a page on this site to give you an idea of my genealogy addiction.
Along with my own personal genealogy, I am also interested in local history...namely the area around Adams, Minnesota. My ancestors eventually ended up in Adams after their voyages from Norway, the majority of my relatives were members of Little Cedar Lutheran Church, are buried in the Little Cedar Cemetery and attended school in the Adams Public School District.
My interest in the schools of Mower County started with my grandmother, Amanda Anderson Huseby, who was a teacher in a small country school in the county. Four of Amanda's grandchildren became teachers in Mower County, including myself, my sister and two cousins. My daughter has continued the tradition as she also teaches in the county.
I enjoy traveling and have started adding information about the trips my family has taken.
